What the Bible Says About Beauty and Appearance?

One of my main goals in life is to always have God in everything I do. I've always been a very religious person and I pray each night that God will use me for his purpose, because I truly believe I am here on this earth to help someone and I'm asking God to mode me and shape me for my purpose.

I personally believe that "You are created in the image of God" and our body is the Lords Temple! after reading this stuck out to me "Physical exercise has some value, but spiritual exercise is much more important, for it promises a reward in both this life and the next." I like that!

Motivation!!

This is cool. A great weight loss tool is My Virtual Model! This Virtual Model is a FREE website that lets you build a "3-D" version of yourself! I found this from http://jessweightloss.blogspot.com/. I read her blog and I created my own 3-D version of myself. I think this is a cool site because it helps you see how you will look when you get to your goal  weight! I think its a great tool!

My Sunday Workout!!!

Great workout today!! I'm Addicted to Cardio I always start my workout out with some cardio!!
Todays workout listed below!.......
I'm starting to do intervals after I get my heart beat up with cardio, my target heart rate is like around 180 for 75%.  Okay, so  THE PLAN:
1. Ran .60 (not quite a mile) @ 4.5 MPH. Then power walked @4.0 MPH until I reached a mile.

                 After Cardio, I do intervals. Do each move in every circuit in order for 1 min, then move to the next move. Kindia like curves? get it? Interval training workes great becuase it helps you not to get bored and promotes weight loss
& fat burning!!

2. Next I did something called  the "Roll back". I stand with my feet hip width apart, squat low, keeping knees tucked in, then quickly roll foward and stand up, repeat. Do this for 1 min! then SWITch





3. Squats & Lunges (works Legs and Butt!) with 5-8pd weights. Do this for one 3x10 reps. (One of my Fav's it really hurts but you can see this in your legs and booty!)
4. Jumping Jacks (for 1min)
5.Bike Like a crazy person (for 1min)
I do this over and over for about 10 - 15 mins..... or so...

Then I end with some basic weight machines. I like to do 3X10 reps. I like to switch off from legs & arms. So today I did like 5 arm machines, I would go to machine 1 do it for 10 reps then go to next machine.. keep doing this until I have reached each machine for a total of three times = 30 reps. Im not into using Big bulky weights, however I do want a little burn ;)

President Obama signed child nutrition bill into law!!


On MondayDecember 13th, two days before my food stamps rolled over... President Obama signed the child nutrition bill into law.  We agreed to focus in the region on issues of childhood obesity and nutrition. What does this mean for the nutrition professionals?  Okay this is my PERSONAL view......

I think the bill is great and I understand what Obama is doing but what I couldnt understand is WHY couldnt he  cut Something eles. I belive that cutting food stamps is only shifting one problem to another.

I'm not too sure about this one I have to object this bill because it is funded in part by stripping $2.2 billion from the federal food stamp program. Congress also voted over the summer to take money from the program to fund legislation sending money to cash-strapped states to avoid teacher layoffs.

Okay, I have to think about this one..Just wanted to share this with you all...

It helps so many people, It helps you eat healthy, fresh, fruits and HAVE food to eat. I'm even eating Organic, Whole foods..... so I am talking from experence.. I just want to see how the 2.2 Billion dollar cut will happen?

New Year New Life!

AWWW.its a beautiful DAY! In sunny CA on the beach in SanDiego. I was so happy not a worry in the world....One thing I did notice is #1 Where are the BIGGER people or FAT people in CA? ummm.. everyone is trying to look great & exersice...everyone on the west coast.. HUMM. not in the SOUTHERN country part of ARKANSAS. lets FRY this.. add to bacon to it.. oh yea.. add a little sugar to it ..it wont hurt.. thats how I was raised........

THEN I got hope uploaded the pics I noticed.. MY ARMS.HUH? my legs..Yuck and knew I had to change ;) my weight the highest ever.


Ive been so busy with the dietetic internship I've completely forgot about my blog ;(. Dont worry Im back. So I have started Weight Watchers again!( bootleg Im just reusing my books and not attending meetings) I started it back in like April when I found out I was accepted into the internship and did it HARD core for 4 weeks and lost about 9-10 pds . However, I quit because i worked a crazy job and worked crazy hours(thanks Enterprise) so I quit. Okay so I started Last Monday and I was doing Great!

I started making good smart challenges to eat better before weight watchers at the end of Oct &Nov. and was down 7 pds. However, Like I said I was doing Weight watchers started on Dec 6-10. did great! however!.. SAT & SUN ! blew it! and now its Dec 15th and Ive gained so much weight!! However, TOMORROW Im doing this right!! Tonight my WONDERFUL  roommate motivated me into working out and we were something like BEASTS in the gym!...hehe!

I'm proud of myself because I really have beeen living a more healthy lifestyle. My goal is in April to run 3.2 miles in the Litte Rock Marathon!. So I started Walking, the jogging and now Im up to Running a Mile with out stopping!! OKAY THAT IS A MILE STONE PEOPLE! Today in the gym I did the elliptical trainer burned 250 Kcals in 25 mins (1.53miles), Weight Trained, sit-ups, Squats (3X10), Lunges with leg raise,(3X10), then did crazy interval run/jog thing on treadmill burning 115 Kcals .81 miles for a extra 10 mins.!! I killed it! My plan is to DO something until I go home on DEC 22 or DEC23! Hope to be down back to the weight I was last Sat before the horrible week. Ok well I have so much to talk about!

I will start back bloging about my weight loss, Healthy foods, Vitamins, execerise Tips, Grocery Hauls, and soo much more! I have so MANY new nutriton obsession!

Hope to be back down to that weight by Dec 23. Then back on track losing 2# a week!

oh my goals= by Dec 31 maintain my weight
by the end of Jan 2011 be down in weight and, able to run 1 mile 1/2 with out stoping.
